They before two days after tomorrow.

It's a secret shame of mine. But I really liked The Day After Tomorrow. I don't know, I just liked how they treated the whole "the (first) world is ending". Fun. Even if the science is non-existent.

Or at least, mostly non-existent. The catalyst that sets us on our CGI packed trip to a couple of days from now is the north atlantic gulf stream stopping. Temperatures in the northern hemisphere drop and ice age ensue. In a week or so. With 20 metre tidal surges that don't withdraw. And CGI wolves.

But! For all you survivalists out there, you'll be glad to know that first step is true(ish). The gulf stream has slowed down 30%. I don't know about you, but I find that pretty scary. People who may or may not be scientists are mumbling something about a 5-10 degree drop in temperature in Europe. Frozen Thames and all that.

Anyway. Work is slowly winding down for the holidays. Minor distractions like the office Christmas party and rennovations have come and gone. There was an unfortunate side effect of the later (possibly brought on by the former), and that the network layout has gone out the window.

So I've had only occasional internet the past week. Which is not fun for a infomation addict.

Oh well.

The comment on the radio last weekend lamented the fact that during a global warming, England gets colder. How typical.
